Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Socialista ("we", "us") handles personal data for the Claude Resumer macOS app and this website. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to sell, deliver and verify a license.

1. Who we are

Claude Resumer is provided by Socialista, registered in the Netherlands (KVK number 61396478, Casembrootstraat 60RD, 1972CC IJmuiden). For any privacy question or request you can reach us at [email protected]. We are the controller for the limited processing described below.

2. What the app processes on your Mac

The app runs locally. To detect session limits it reads your local Claude Code session files in ~/.claude/projects and, for Claude App, local app data and the chat and Code session names visible on screen. Your source code, prompts and chat contents are processed only on your device and are never transmitted to us. We do not read cookies or account tokens, and the app has no analytics or tracking.

3. What we receive during activation

When you activate a license, the app sends your license key and a device identifier (your Mac's hardware UUID, read locally via IOPlatformUUID) to our license server. The server verifies the key's signature and asks Stripe whether the related payment was completed. For lifetime licenses we store the device identifier with your customer record at Stripe to tie the license to a single Mac and prevent sharing; if you move to a new Mac, email us and we will reset it. In response the server may process the email address associated with your purchase, solely to confirm and display your license. We do not build marketing profiles and do not sell personal data.

4. Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe Payments Europe. When you buy a license you provide your payment and billing details directly to Stripe, which acts as an independent controller under its own privacy policy. We receive from Stripe only the payment status and the customer email tied to your Checkout Session. We never receive or store your card details.

5. Server logs

Like most web services, our hosting and license server may temporarily record standard technical request data such as IP address, user agent and timestamps. We use this only to operate and secure the service (our legitimate interest) and retain it for a short period.

6. Website analytics

Our website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic, such as page views, approximate visitor counts, country of origin and how often the download is started. It is privacy-first: it sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device and does not track you across other websites. In addition, our own server keeps a simple running tally of how often the app is downloaded, broken down by country (derived from your network location at the moment of download). Both are anonymous, aggregate counters: we store no IP addresses and build no individual profiles. This applies to the website only; the macOS app itself still contains no analytics or tracking (see section 2).

7. Legal bases (GDPR)

We process license and payment data to perform our contract with you (delivering and verifying your license). We process the device identifier and security and server-log data on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service reliable, enforcing our license terms (such as the single-device limit for lifetime licenses) and protecting it against abuse.

8. Retention

We keep purchase and license records for as long as needed to support your license and to meet legal and tax obligations. Technical logs are kept only briefly. You can ask us to delete data that we are not legally required to retain.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

10. Not affiliated with Anthropic

Claude Resumer is an independent utility. "Claude" and "Anthropic" are trademarks of Anthropic. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic, and we do not receive your Claude account data.

11. Changes

We may update this policy as the product or legal requirements change. The date above shows the latest version. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
